Job Description
Missions
To study the consequence of the inactivation of a innate immune receptor on the genome stability in cancer
Activity
- to set-up a shRNA or CRISPR/Cas9 screen in tumoral cell line
- to analyze the screen
- tissue culture human cells
- knock-down using siRNA / shRNA
- Western blot
- immunofluorescence
- survival test
- lentiviral transduction
- analysis et to keep experimental records in an electronic labbook
- to collaborateurs with team members
- to present data in english during at different internal meetings
- to presentation a Journal Club in english
Your Profil
Skills
- PhD in biology (preferred)
- Expertise in CRISPR/Cas9 or shRNA screens is ESSENTIAL
- Expertise in biochemistry and cell biology
- Proficiency in flow cytometry
- Proficiency in fluorescence microscopy
- Attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Team player
- Excellent communication skills and ability to report experimental results
Your Work Environment
The Inflammasome and Cancer Team is located at the Lyon Cancer Research Center (CRCL). The CRCL is housed at the Léon Bérard Center (CLB), and close collaboration between the CRCL and the CLB enables the conduct of translational and clinical research projects. The CRCL is equipped with numerous state-of-the-art platforms: flow cytometry, genomics, imaging, and more.
The Inflammasome and Cancer team places great importance on teamwork and strong communication skills among all its members. Working conditions are typical of a research laboratory; hours may vary depending on the requirements of the experiments to be conducted.
