This project is in the field of energy storage for flexible (such as smart textiles) and all-solid systems, based on the development of new materials for nanostructured electrodes and solid polymer electrolytes. Supercapacitors are essential for the development of future flexible devices because they have a high power density and an extended service life as well as an undeniable safety aspect.
The objectives of the proposed project are to synthesis and characterization efficient polymer electrolyte for flexible supercapacitor. Ones of the main challenges is to develop polymer with low Tg which exhibits high ionic conductivity in a large range of temperature.
The activities to be carried out are research activities
- synthesis and characterization of a polymer electrolyte for flexible supercapacitor (main task)
- functionalization of the polymer by hydrosilylation, several synthesis strategies will be evaluated (main task)
-the properties in terms of ionic conduction and viscosity will be evaluated (main task)
- impregnation of polymers in a structure of silicon nanowires covered with an oxide layer deposited by ALD (main task)
- the impregnation and conformity properties will be studied by SEM and EDX (main task)
- studies of the electrochemical performance of the supercapacitor will be studied as well as the flexibility of the system (main task)
The candidate chosen for this Post-doctoral position must possess skills in polymer chemistry (polymer synthesis or functionalization), expertise in electrochemistry will be appreciated. He / she must also demonstrate an ability to work in a team, analyze and synthesize results and be curious for new techniques and concepts.
This study will be carried out in a research laboratory, LEPMI. LEPMI (Laboratory of Electrochemistry and Physico-chemistry of Materials and Interfaces) is a UMR with CNRS, Grenoble-inp, UGA and Savoie Mont Blanc University as its instituts. The laboratory includes about 60 permanents and about 100 non-permanent, it is located on the university campus of Grenoble in Saint Martin d'Hères. The research carried out relates to materials, electrochemistry and electrochemical engineering for applications related to energy (Batteries, fuel cell, supercapacitor).
This work will be carried out as part of an ANR ASTRID project in collaboration with SyMMES, CEA-INAC and ICGM in Montpellier.
