Missions
In the context of a research project focusing on the neural markers of stuttering, the recruited individual will be responsible for the preprocessing, processing, and analysis of data obtained from functional neuroimaging (fMRI).
Activités
The main aim is to improve our understanding of brain disconnectivity phenomena in adult individuals with persistent developmental stuttering. In this context, the recruited individual will be expected to carry out the following tasks:
Development of analysis scripts for the preprocessing and automated processing of functional neuroimaging data;
Statistical modeling of imaging data and evaluation/validation of the models used;
Graphical modeling and visualization of the data;
Contribution to the writing of scientific articles.
Compétences
Key competencies:
PhD in cognitive science / cognitive neuroscience with experience in cognitive neuroimaging;
Programming languages / software proficiency: Matlab, Python, R, SPM, CONN;
Very strong knowledge of neurophonetics, particularly stuttering and verbal disfluencies;
Solid background in neuroscience and in the neuropsychology of language and speech;
Experience in writing scientific articles.

Contexte de travail
The recruited individual will work within the Praxiling laboratory (UMR 5267 CNRS – Université Paul Valéry), under the supervision of Fabrice Hirsch, Cognition, Language team). They will work in close collaboration with all technical and scientific partners involved in the project. The position will involve travel for work-related assignments.
