Job Description
Missions
Total synthesis of suffranidine A.
Activity
This project is part of a research program initiated nearly a decade ago within our research group on the total synthesis of Securinega alkaloids. The aim of this postdoctoral project is to develop a concise and efficient synthetic approach to suffranidine A, one of the most structurally complex members of this family of natural products. Upon completion of the synthesis, our established collaborations with biology research groups in Bordeaux will allow us to evaluate this natural product, as well as selected non-natural analogues, for their biological activity on the central nervous system.
Your Profil
Skills
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, and have a strong interest/background in multistep synthesis of complex bioactive molecules.
Your Work Environment
This postdoctoral position will be based within the CSH group at the Bordeaux Institute of Molecular Sciences (ISM - CNRS UMR 5255) and will be supervised by Dr. P. A. Peixoto.
