Job Description
Missions
Chemical recycling of PET and PU from the textile industry
Activity
Development and optimization of depolymerization processes for PET and polyurethanes.
Characterization and valorization of depolymerization products.
Preparation of technical reports.
Collaborative research within a team comprising academic and industrial researchers.
Your Profil
Skills
Organic chemistry
Polymer chemistry (specifically polyesters and polyurethanes)
Physicochemical characterization of polymers
Technical writing in French and English

Your Work Environment
The work will be carried out primarily at the ICGM in collaboration with the company PETSHKA.
The Charles Gerhardt Institute Montpellier (ICGM, UMR 5253) is a multidisciplinary research laboratory comprising five departments and a staff of nearly 500. The ICGM contributes to the advancement of chemical research aimed at developing and characterizing complex materials with functionalities that have a significant societal impact, particularly in the fields of health, the environment, and energy. Mastery of the entire value chain involved in developing complex materials places the ICGM's research activities in a strong position, not only within the Montpellier region but also at national and international levels.
PETSHKA is an innovative company dedicated to developing solutions for recycling and recovering value from polymer waste. As part of its research and development activities, PETSHKA is working on processes to transform plastic waste into new resources and intermediates that can be used to manufacture high-value-added materials.
