Missions

the postdoctoral internship will consist of the synthesis of acrylate-urethane monomers and polymers with reduced environmental impacts, in particular using NIPU (non-isocyanate polyurethanes) access routes. The aim is to develop and characterize a urethane-acrylate binder for adhering ink on glass.

Context :
Pochet du Courval, a family business which demonstrates glassmaking expertise stemming from 4 centuries of experience and innovation, is a world leader in the luxury bottle market, with more than a million bottles and containers manufactured daily by the twelve lines production in Guimerville, in Seine-Maritime. A sustainable company in its DNA, Pochet du Courval is in the TOP 1% of companies evaluated by EcoVadis, which rewards the collective efforts made by its teams, particularly in terms of responsible purchasing and reducing its environmental impact, to guarantee the responsible beauty of tomorrow.
On the other hand, and at present, digital printing technologies on glass demonstrate several limits. Pochet du Courval wishes to move towards ever more complex geometries and decorations, customizable and traceable on demand, with increasingly short implementation times, and eco-responsible processes. It is in this context that the PRESTIGE project was built, the ultimate goal of which is to develop the first industrial digital printing process designed for the high-end bottle market. This project, labeled by Cosmetic Valley, is financed by the STATE and the REGION as part of France 2030 and brings together partners such as Pochet du Courval, Ardeje, Atheor and the ICGM.
Program: In this context, the postdoctoral internship will consist of the synthesis of acrylate-urethane monomers and polymers with reduced environmental impacts, in particular using NIPU (non-isocyanate polyurethanes) access routes. Compétences

The candidate must have a doctorate in organic chemistry or polymer chemistry with skills in both disciplines.

Contexte de travail

This project will take place within the molecular and macromolecular chemistry department (C3M) of the Charles Gerhardt Institute in Montpellier (ICGM), a team specializing in polymer synthesis. This project will be carried out in collaboration with the company Athéor, specialist in authentication and unitary traceability solutions using an innovative glass marking technique.
