Job Description
Missions
The recruited candidate will aim to highlight the potential of a series of MOFs and MOF/polymer composites for the capture of N-nitrosamines (NDMA and NDEA) at low concentrations, using the sorption tools available in our laboratory: gravimetric sorption isotherms and breakthrough curves. These studies will be carried out on MOF powders, as well as on MOF/polymer composites synthesized by our industrial partner.

Your Work Environment
Contamination of pharmaceuticals by N-nitrosamines, carcinogenic organic compounds, is a major issue for the pharmaceutical industry, leading to large-scale product recalls and the implementation of strict new regulations. Sources of contamination are numerous throughout the manufacturing and storage chain.
To address this challenge, the ANR PRCE project “MAGIC-N” aims to develop an innovative active packaging capable of directly capturing N-nitrosamines, without modifying either the drug formulation or the manufacturing process. This project relies on the incorporation of Metal–Organic Frameworks (MOFs) into polymer packaging as highly efficient and selective sorbents for N-nitrosamines, even in the presence of humidity.
