Missions

- Preparation of gas diffusion electrodes and optimisation according to results obtained in proton or anion conducting polymer electrolyte fuel cells
- Post mortem characterisation of membranes and electrodes
- Electrochemical characterisations in fuel cells and data analysis
- Writing scientific manuscripts and technical reports

Activity

The research topic is the electrochemical characterization of catalysts and membranes for fuel cells operating with either anion conducting membrane or proton conducting membrane. In particular, the work will focus on the optimization of electrode fabrication and the choice of operating conditions of the fuel cell to improve its performances. The overall objective is to improve activity and long-term stability of fuel cells free of precious metals.
