The person is hired to develop the PhotoAcc research project : "Bio-inspired charge photoaccumulation: from the design of novel systems to multielectronic redox process optimization".


The person hired will be in charge of:
- The synthesis of novel ruthenium photosensitizers possessing pi-extended poly-N-heterocyclic ligands.
- The investigation of their light-induced charge accumulation properties.
- The study of their reactivity in multielectronic redox processes.


The applicants should hold a PhD in molecular chemistry and have a strong background in organic synthesis (purification procedures, schlenck and glovebox techniques, classical characterization techniques such as NMR, infrared and UV-visible absorption spectroscopy). The successful candidate should be ready to broaden her/his knowledge and to work in a multidisciplinary collaborative environment.

Work Context

The person will be hired by the CNRS and will integrate the LCBM laboratory (UMR 5249 UGA/CNRS/CEA) gathering about 80 persons and located at CEA Grenoble. He/She will join the SolHyCat team (, consisting of 4 researchers, 1 assistant engineer, 1 research engineer, 8 PhD students and 3 post-doctoral fellows.
The team is part of an international collaborative network to develop this project, funded by the National Research Agency (ANR),within a consortium gathering four internationally recognized research teams.
A lab space (bench and fumehood) and an office space equipped with an IT workstation will be allocated to the person hired, together with all the equipments needed to develop the project; the person will have access to a meeting room and a leisure room.
