Missions
The recruited person will be in charge of an experimental project aimed at deciphering a new oncogenic tyrosine kinase pathway in hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC) and participating in the development of therapeutic antibodies blocking receptor signaling.
Activités
The candidate will analyze tumor function and the signaling of an orphan receptor induced by its cognate ligand, recently identified by the host lab, both in vitro and in vivo HCC models (cell cultures, organoids, KO mice). They will analyze receptor signaling using innovative proteomics and phospho-proteomics approaches, coupled with RNAseq and cellular imaging methods. Finally, they will participate in the development of therapeutic antibodies by our collaborators and validate their anti-tumor effect on developed HCC models.
Compétences
The position requires strong expertise and knowledge on cell signaling and cancer biology, with strong technical skills in cell and molecular biology methods, imaging and proteomic techniques. Knowledge on structural biology and skills on organoids is an added value to the project. A good knowledge of English and good interpersonal skills are required.
Contexte de travail
The contract is part of an INCA grant obtained by the CRBM “cancer cell signaling” group in close collaboration with IGMM (CNRS UMR5535) and IRCM (INSERM U886) research groups together with the GI department of Montpellier University Hospital.
