Missions
The objective is to study the neural bases of communication and affiliation in the marmoset (a small primate). Additionally, we will study the effects of oxytocin, a neurohormone that modulates social behavior, on communication and affiliation, as well as the underlying neural activity.
The work involves developing a video system to automatically monitor and label (pose estimation) the behavior of monkeys in their housing cage.
Activités
1 - Design of a video tracking system
2 - Install cameras and hardware in the housing cages.
3 - Write scripts to track the monkeys and extract their behavior (gaze direction, proximity, etc.)
4 - Participate in data analysis and the writing of scientific articles.
