Missions
As part of the ANR “BIRD” project, the successful candidate will be required to perform optical spectroscopy on hexagonal boron nitride in order to understand the mechanisms of impurity photoactivation and identify the defects leading to the persistent photoconductivity effect. Their work will consist, on the one hand, to perform optical measurements using reflectivity and photoluminescence experiments in the UV-C spectral range on hexagonal boron nitride layers synthesized at the Georgia Tech Europe-Metz laboratory with different growth parameters and illuminated under different conditions, and to evaluate the performance of LED devices through electroluminescence measurements.
