Missions

The postdoc will work in the POLARIS team.
The principal motivation for the research that the postdoc will conduct is:
Digital technology has redefined how buyers and sellers interact in markets (job search, dating, C2C, advertising, etc.) and is in the hands of powerful actors (Amazon, Uber, etc.) and is based on algorithms that can reproduce preexisting forms of discrimination (e.g., against race, gender). The research will focus on markets and fairness.

+ Writing of scientific articles on online markets, with a specific focus on fairness
+ Screening and summarizing of literature
+ Conference participations
+ Support in organizing the conference "Alpine Game Theory Symposium" in June 2023

Skills

+ Knowledge in market design, mathematics, probability theory, game theory
+ Knowledge in proofing, writing of scientific articles, numerical simulations

The poste is in the POLARIS team that is part of the LIG laboratory and is based in the Batiment IMAG, Univ. Grenoble Alpes
