Missions

The objective of this poste is the study of markets online. In particular, we are interested in economic incentives in markets with complements and on mechanisms that return outcomes that are efficient, fair, and stable.

Activities

+ Study and analysis of market models
+ Specific focus on market design
+ It is expected that the results with improve our understanding of markets in theory, and also allow to give concrete implementation recommendations
+ Coorganisation of a conference

Skills

+ PhD in mathematics, computer science, or economics
+ Competencies in game theory and probability theory
+ Experience in research on market design

Work Context

100%, travel for conferences in France and internationally. The candidate will be attached to the CNRS and collaborate with B. Pradelski (CR CNRS) and P. Loiseau (CR INRIA) on several projects in the described context. S/he will work at Bâtiment IMAG dans le Laboratoire d'Informatique de Grenoble (LIG) as port of team POLARIS. The LIG assembles almost 450 researchers, students, and administrative personnel. The team POLARIS is part of the LIG, CNRS, and INRIA comprising 12 permanent researchers and ca. 15 doctoral and postdoctoral students.
