Job Description
Missions
A position of 18 months for a postdoctoral researcher is available at the Grenoble Computer Science Laboratory (LIG). The postdoc will be financed by the young researcher ANR project PraQPV and will work in the domain of quantum position verification. The project's objective is to study the security of quantum position verification in practically relevant contexts.
Activity
The candidate will mathematically prove theorems quantifying the security of quantum position verification protocols and will present the results at scientific conferences.
Your Profil
Skills
We are searching for a postdoc who is strongly motivated to work on problems at the intersection of mathematics, physics, and computer science. The candidate is required to have mastered the mathematical formalism of quantum information and has to be familiar with quantum cryptography.
Par ailleurs, le ou la candidate devra avoir une bonne maîtrise de l'algèbre linéaire, être capable de rédiger des démonstrations mathématiques rigoureuses, et être motivé·e pour acquérir toutes les compétences mathématiques nécessaires au cours du projet.
Your Work Environment
This position will be within the LIG's CAPP team.
The position falls under the Scientific and Technical Potential Protection (PPST) sector and therefore, in accordance with regulations, requires that your appointment be approved by the relevant authority at the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR).
Constraints and risks
The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in mathematics, physics, or computer science.
