Job Description
Missions
This postdoctoral position is part of the CNRS MADIMIN project. Its objective is to investigate the mechanisms that explain why the negative impact of air pollution on educational outcomes varies across children from different socioeconomic backgrounds. The postdoctoral researcher will conduct a survey of parents to analyze differences in information, parental preferences, and avoidance strategies in response to air pollution.
Activity
Design and development of the parent survey questionnaire.
Definition of the sampling strategy and coordination of data collection.
Implementation and monitoring of fieldwork activities.
Cleaning, processing, and documentation of the collected data.
Statistical analysis of the results to identify the mechanisms underlying socioeconomic differences in the effects of air pollution on educational achievement.
Preparation of scientific reports and dissemination of research findings (academic publications, conference presentations, and seminar talks).
Participation in the activities of the CNRS MADIMIN project and collaboration with research partners.
Your Profil
Skills
Experience in the design and implementation of quantitative surveys, including questionnaire development and data collection protocols.
Strong knowledge of sampling methods and field data collection procedures.
Experience in data management, cleaning, documentation, and quality assurance of databases.
Strong skills in statistical analysis and applied econometrics in the social sciences.
Proficiency in data analysis software such as R, Stata, Python, or equivalent tools.
