Job Description
Missions
Characterize the conformational changes of calcium channels associated with variations in membrane potential, ligand binding, as well as activation, deactivation, and inactivation processes.
Perform AI-assisted virtual screening of new ligands and structure-based optimization.
Activity
Molecular simulations of calcium channels and their interactions with ligands.
Analysis of conformational changes associated with variations in membrane potential, ligand binding, and activation, deactivation, and inactivation processes, in correlation with biophysical and pharmacological data.
Investigation of the molecular mechanisms underlying the modulation of calcium channels by ligands.
AI-assisted virtual screening, design, and structure-based optimization of novel ligands.
Characterization of conformational changes in calcium channels and their interactions with ligands using molecular modeling approaches, complemented by experimental data.
Your Profil
Skills
Expertise in molecular dynamics simulations, particularly enhanced sampling approaches applied to transmembrane proteins (more than 3 years of experience).
Programming skills and proficiency in the use of deep learning tools applied to molecular modeling and virtual screening.
Practical understanding of patch-clamp electrophysiology and in vitro pharmacology data, including the interpretation and integration of experimental results with molecular modeling approaches.
Excellent scientific communication and presentation skills in an interdisciplinary environment.
Your Work Environment
The project will be conducted within a large multidisciplinary team bringing together expertise in structural biology and pharmacology of transmembrane proteins, biophysics, molecular modeling, and artificial intelligence-assisted drug design. The successful candidate will benefit from a collaborative scientific environment, with access to local computing servers as well as high-performance computing (HPC) resources suitable for large-scale molecular simulations and AI-based approaches.
