Job Description
Missions
As part of an ERC project, the recruited postdoctoral researcher will study the role of the endoplasmic reticulum in regulating intercellular exchanges in plants, particularly at plasmodesmata.
Activity
The postdoctoral researcher will draw on a range of complementary approaches — cell biology, advanced imaging (confocal, calcium imaging, and molecular biology — to characterize, at different scales, the structure and function of the endoplasmic reticulum in plasmodesmata.
Your Profil
Skills
-Holder of a PhD in cell biology or a related field, the candidate has solid experience in plant imaging and in studying development and stress responses, as well as solid experience in molecular biology and the generation of transgenic lines. Autonomy, experimental rigor, and an appetite for working in a multidisciplinary team are expected. Strong scientific communication skills are required, including a good level of English (writing articles, presenting at conferences, exchanging with international collaborators), along with initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Your Work Environment
The position is part of an ERC project within the Laboratoire de Biogenèse Membranaire, offering a stimulating scientific environment and access to state-of-the-art technology platforms (imaging, Bordeaux Imaging Center). The postdoctoral researcher will work in close collaboration with team members as well as with the platforms and collaborators involved in the project. The position can be extended to 36-48 months
Constraints and risks
Le poste implique la manipulation de produits chimiques (fixateurs, solvants, réactifs de biologie moléculaire) et d'organismes génétiquement modifiés, dans le respect des règles d'hygiène et de sécurité en vigueur. Une disponibilité ponctuelle en dehors des horaires habituels peut être requise lors de sessions d'imagerie. Des déplacements pour l'accès aux plateformes technologiques et la participation à des congrès scientifiques (nationaux/internationaux) sont à prévoir.
