Missions
In our recent publications, we report on multiscale characterization techniques used to study the organic functionality in the pores of these films. Techniques such as SAXS, NMR, FT-IR, absorption and emission spectroscopy, BET, and thermoporosimetry have been employed to explore these materials.
We are now offering a 15 months post-doctoral position in collaboration with the Very High Field NMR Center of Lyon (CRMN) to investigate the molecular organization within the pores using high-field solid-state NMR, combined with high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. We expect this innovative approach to provide critical insights into the control of internal pore properties, which find important applications in fields such as catalysis and sensor development.
Activités
The post-doctoral researcher will join the "Functional Materials and Photonics" team at the ENS Lyon Chemistry Laboratory and will work closely with the LCMCP, IPCMS and the CRMN. The key objectives will be to synthesize and characterize model hybrid functional films.
Compétences
Candidates should hold a PhD with expertise in materials chemistry, sol-gel science, NMR, with a solid understanding of these areas. The ability to work effectively in a team and lead collaborative efforts is essential. Proficiency in English is required.
Contexte de travail
The Laboratoire de Chimie at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS Lyon Chemistry Lab) conducts fundamental research in chemistry, with a particular focus on materials science. As part of a collaborative consortium with the Laboratoire de Chimie de la Matière Condensée de Paris (LCMCP – Prof. C. Sanchez and Dr. C. Boissière), the Institut Charles Gerhardt Montpellier (ICGM – Dr. M. Wong Chi Man), and the Institut de Chimie et Physique des Matériaux de Strasbourg (ICMS – Prof. O. Ersen), our research project is centered on the fundamental understanding of the supramolecular assemblies of metal precursors during the sol-gel process in mesoporous hybrid thin films.
