Job Description
Missions
Design and structuring of corpora: (a) media corpus on zoonoses (definition of PQR collection strategies; construction of diachronic databases; thematic health indexing); (b) institutional corpus (collection of archives from health agencies, veterinary services, mosquito control operators, natural area managers, local authorities, etc.).
Socio-political analysis of zoonoses (media framing of health crises, territorial narratives of diseases, accountability of reservoir species, social perception of vectors (mosquitoes, birds, etc.) and public health action
Activity
Operational activities (review of health archives; digitisation and data management; qualitative coding, textometry, stakeholder mapping, chronologies of zoonotic crises, organisation of stakeholder-researcher workshops).
Your Profil
Skills
PhD in Social Sciences and Humanities: linguistics, geography, sociology, political science, environmental health, science studies.
Specific expertise in the fields of biodiversity conservation, human-wildlife relations, and the One Health approach.
Methods: discourse analysis, textual analysis, sociology of controversies, diachronic analysis, advanced qualitative methods.
Tools: NVivo / Atlas.ti / MaxQDA, Iramuteq / TXM / R.
Database management and project management.
Scientific reporting and writing of scientific articles in English.
Your Work Environment
ZOOCAM project of the PREZODE PEPR - WP5 Participatory modelling and social sciences and humanities. In close collaboration with R. Mathevet, CNRS CEFE, head of WP5, and C. Le Page, CIRAD SENS, and in conjunction with the activities carried out by the other WPs and the members of the Camargue Health and Environment Workshop Zone (ZACAM).
