Missions
- To develop new approaches to study cognition (learning and memory) in the invasive yellow-legged Asian hornet
Activités
- To develop protocols to study learning and memory in the Asian hornet
- To develop analyses (scripts) to analyse the data from these protocols
- To validate the protocols and analyses with preliminary data
Compétences
- PhD in ethology
- Insect handling
- Behavioural observations
- Programming (Python or R)
- Oral and written communication of results in English
Contexte de travail
- Participation in the ADEME LOTAPIS project (CNRS, UPS, INRAE, M2i, ANL collaboration), the aim of which is to develop new bio-control techniques
- Work in the research team led by Mathieu Lihoreau at the CRCA-CBI (University of Toulouse), the aim of which is to study the behaviour and cognition of the Asian hornet in relation to trapping methods.
