Missions
At CP2M, researchers working in collaboration with Michelin have discovered that rare earth metallocene catalysts can be used to synthesize a new range of elastomers through the copolymerization of ethylene and butadiene. These copolymers are known as EBR (Ethylene-Butadiene Rubber) and are an attractive class of materials for sustainable tire applications due to their improved wear resistance. In this project, we will use macromolecular engineering to expand the range of EBR-based synthetic rubbers.
