Job Description
Missions
The person recruited will be assisting an ongoing project to identify dosage-sensitive genes on the mouse X chromosome.
Activity
Main tasks:
- culture and differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cells
- genomic engineering of mouse embryonic stem cells
- gene expression analysis (RT-qPCR)
- molecular biology techniques (gDNA extraction, PCRs, electrophoresis, …)
Secondary tasks:
- assisting with the management of the tissue culture room
- assisting with orders and purchases
- participation in weekly group meetings
- participation in 1:1 meetings with the group leader
- participation in collective responsibilities in the group (e.g., cleaning of tissue culture room)
Your Profil
Skills
- experience in cell culture
- experience in molecular biology techniques
- fluency in English language
- sense of organization and responsibility

Your Work Environment
The successful candidate will work within the context of the ERC-funded REGULADOSIX project as part of the 'Developmental Regulation of Gene Dosage' team led by Rafael Galupa, within the MCD unit (UMR5077) at the Centre for Integrative Biology (CBI, Toulouse). The team is working to understand the regulation of gene dosage in the context of the mammalian X chromosome. The successful candidate will be supervised by the team leader and a PhD student.
