Missions
The successful candidate will be responsible for deciphering the nuclear response to forces during epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT).
Activités
- Analyze the sensitivity to forces of genes located at different positions in the genome (compression, optical tweezers).
- Analyze the impact of forces on the final production of Twist protein.
- Validate the sensitivity to forces of genes identified by NetSeq.
Compétences
Knowledge: Solid expertise in biophysics and Drosophila genetics.
Skills: Ability to write regular reports on work carried out and present them at international conferences.
Attitudes: Ability to work in a team and report back.
Contexte de travail
The successful candidate will join Magali SUZANNE's team, Apoptosis-Dependent Morphogenesis, at the Center for Integrative Biology (CBI). Founded in 2016, the Toulouse Center for Integrative Biology (CBI; http://cbi-toulouse.fr/eng/) is an institute bringing together three biological science research centers at the University of Toulouse and the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS). It is located in Toulouse, in southwestern France, on the main campus of the University of Toulouse III-Paul Sabatier (http://www.univ-tlse3.fr/), which offers multidisciplinary training in the fields of science, health, engineering, and technology, thus developing one of the most important scientific research centers in France.
