Missions

Kinetic and structural study of the maturation of a new generation antibiotic activated by the presence of beta-lactamase

Activities

Expression and purification of the enzymes used to activate the antibiotic (beta-lactamases) as well as the enzymes targeted by the antibiotic in its activated form (PBP or LDt).
Measurement of their enzymatic activity
Reactional study of the activation processes of the antibiotic as well as the inhibition of the target
Structural study of enzyme-substrate interactions by NMR and crystallography
In situ study of pro-drug activation and target inhibition in bacteria
