Missions

The recruited researcher will be in charge of the development of organoiron systems, the study of their reactivitu toward CO2, CO and H2, and the impact of various substrates and additives. These studies will aim at the development of a cooperative catalytic process able to incorporate CO2 into molecules of interest. He / she will put a focus on the understanding of reaction mechanisms and the characterization of the observed intermediates. He / she will take part in the research team's life and in the training of less experienced staff. He / she will participate to the diffusion of his / her results through congresses and publication of scientific articles.

- Characterization of the synthesized complexes by NMR, UV-visible, IR, XRD, EPR and any appropriate analytical mean (main task)
- Study of the reactivity of synthesized complexes : electrochemistry, substrates, catalytic tests (main task)

- synthesis of ligands (secondary task)
- participating in the management of students (secondary task)
- bibliographic survey (secondary task)
- participating in the management of the laboratory (secondary task)

Compétences

-organometallic synthesis under inert atmosphere (mastered)

- experience in electrochemistry and/or magnetism appreciated

Contexte de travail

Frame of the contract : the LHFA (https://www.lhfa.cnrs.fr/) is an Unité Mixte CNRS-Université de Toulouse, located in the Chemistry building of the Université de Toulouse, 118 route de Narbonne, Toulouse.
The LHFA is gathering 6 research teams representing around 60 people. Its core activity is the synthesis and study of original molecular structures containing heteroelements, which feature innovating properties and specific reactivities, to answer both fundamental and applied questions. The LHFA is part of the Institut de Chimie de Toulouse.
The SHEN team is presently gathering of 3 permanent researchers, 2 PhD and 3 Post-Doctoral fellows.
