Missions

The post-doc will participate to an qualitative/ethnographic fieldwork on the social uses of the Law by pro-migrants' activitsts and by railway workers in the North Basque country (Bayonne, Hendaye). He/she will analyse the data and write a report. He/she will participate to the team' meetings and collaborate to the organisation of a workshop.

Activities

The post-doc will collect interviews (+- 35) and do observations
He/she will retranscript and analyse the data
He/she will participate to the DisPow working meetings and write a report on his/her fieldwork
He/she will collaborate to the organisation of a workshop.

Skills

The post-doc has a knowledge concerning the Basque country social and political contexte, and ideally, concerning the associative' and unions' networks.
She/he has experience in using qualitative methods
He/she is already familiar with the scholarship on the social uses of the Law (Law and society, legal consciousness studies...), on 'sanctuary cities' and on borders' controls.

Work Context

The post-doc will be hosted by the Certop UMR50444 and will join the DisPow team (https://dispow.hypotheses.org/). She/he will have access to and office and a working station.

- Frequent missions in the Basque country
