Job Description
Missions
The postdoctoral researcher will be part of the laboratory LEAD-UMR5022 and will be working with the international team responsible for developing and managing the research project BIO-PREPA, funded by ERA-NET NEURON, “Network of European Funding for Neuroscience Research”. This project investigates biomarkers and behavioral probes for preclinical perinatal asphyxia, with a focus on rhythm and sequencing. We integrate behavioral tasks, EEG, eye-tracking, and motion capture to understand the role of rhythm processing and synchronization in infant development and perinatal asphyxia outcomes. The goal is to characterize preclinical cases, identify biomarkers, assess development and optimize diagnostic criteria to improve its early detection. The project consortium involves four academic partners with complementary expertise in early neurodevelopment, neural data processing, cognitive neurosciences of music, computational modeling and molecular biology.
The position will be with Barbara Tillmann in Dijon (LEAD-UMR5022), and in tight collaboration with Sahar Moghimi in Amiens (INSERM U1105) as well as Birgitta Toth (HUN-REN Natural Sciences Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychology, Budapest) as well as other post-docs of the project and the other consortium members.
Activity
The post-doc will be working on the testing program aiming to evaluate perceptual and cognitive abilities of the infants at birth and after 12 to 18 months. They will contribute to the development and testing of the paradigms as well as the realization of related experiments, followed by their analyses and the dissemination of the data at conferences and with journal article publications. They will work in tight collaboration with researchers, post-docs and students from the other consortium member teams.
