Research work in electrochemistry / chemistry of materials / process engineering as part of a premature project on the development of original materials for a process for the depollution of aqueous media, with the following main missions:
- Synthesis of materials in an aqueous medium by soft chemistry methods, and electrochemistry in particular
- Optimization of syntheses
- Characterization of materials by conventional techniques (DRX, spectroscopy, SEM) and / or more specific if necessary
- Studies of the reactivity of the materials obtained with respect to aqueous solutions containing the target molecules, in connection with analyzes of the solutions by conventional chemical methods
- Regular reviews of experimental results (drafting of reports, interim and final reports, ...).


The main tasks will be:
-Synthesis and characterization of materials
- Set up experiments on the interaction of materials with aqueous solutions
- Analysis of aqueous solutions


- Good knowledge of electrochemistry: measurements, methods
- Good knowledge of materials chemistry: soft chemical synthesis processes, classic characterization techniques
- chemistry of aqueous solutions: reactivity of materials and methods of analysis of solutions (spectroscopy, chromatography)

Work Context

The research work will take place at UMR 3685 (NIMBE, (Nanosciences and Innovation for Materials, Biomedicine and Energy)) located on the CEA Saclay site. CEA ‐ CNRS (UMR 3685), specialized in the design, shaping and analysis of matter from the micron scale to the nanometric scale, as well as the understanding of physicochemical mechanisms and their synergies at these scales. NIMBE has around 100 permanent researchers and technicians and is supported by 7 teams. The work will be carried out in the LEDNA team (Laboratoire Edifices Nanométriques; direction M. Mayne) under the direction of S. Peulon (CNRS researcher) as part of a premature project on the development of an innovative process for the decontamination of aqueous media.
