Job Description
Missions
The candidate will work on the scientific themes of the P2S2 project: developing precise parton shower algorithms and studying their consequences in jet physics.
Activity
- Develop a parton shower algorithm that is precise to the next-to-single log for ee collisions.
- Extend these results to proton-proton collisions.
- Study the phenomenological aspects of jet physics
Your Profil
Skills
Good knowledge of particle physics and quantum chromodynamics. Knowledge of computer programming is a plus.
Your Work Environment
This is a postdoctoral position recruited as part of the ANR P2S2 project. The project is led by Gregory Soyez at IPhT in collaboration with Matteo Cacciari at LPTHE. The position is initially filled for a period of 2 years, with the possibility of an extension for a third year.
