Job Description
Missions
The successful candidate will develop a hierarchy of models for convective aggregation, progressively incorporating greater realism (multiple spatial dimensions, inclusion of Earth's rotation, representation of the atmospheric hydrological cycle). The aim is to deepen our understanding of this organization and compare the characteristics of simulated convection with those observed in the tropical atmosphere.
Activity
Building on preliminary results obtained by the supervisors, the candidate will seek analytical solutions and numerical solutions for a simple physical model of the tropical atmosphere.
