Missions

As part of the ScalingRules project (ANR Chair of Excellence France 2030), Dr Basto's laboratory is recruiting a full-time junior researcher to contribute to research aimed at understanding how polyploid cells regulate their optimal size while ensuring their function. This is part of the laboratory's overall project to study ploidy transitions, cell cycle and genetic stability maintenance.

Activités

• Research:
- Conduct independent research on the chosen topic,
- Design, carry out and interpret experiments,
- Present results to the scientific community within and outside the Curie Institute,
- Write and publish articles, - Participate in conferences

• Cross-functional tasks:
- Participate in the day-to-day activities of the laboratory and the ScalingRules project, alongside the project's scientific partners
- Participate in scientific discussions, practical organisation and the sharing of knowledge and technical expertise with other members of the laboratory and project collaborators
- Regularly update your knowledge of the project by reading relevant literature and attending seminars and conferences.

Compétences

General knowledge of cell biology and microscopy
- Ability to acquire new technical skills specific to research projects
- Ability to manage and archive data produced in accordance with laboratory rules and tools
- Proficiency in scientific English at B2 level (written and spoken)
- Ability to organise and prioritise tasks
- Ability to follow ethical research practices, including in work-related interactions with colleagues
