Job Description

Missions

The postdoctoral researcher will study age-associated changes in centromere features across different cellular models, as well as the impact of centromere alterations on cellular senescence.

Activity

The postdoctoral researcher will work collaboratively with the team to implement advanced experimental approaches in molecular and cellular biology, including state-of-the-art microscopy techniques. Activities will include cell culture, genetic manipulation, proteomics, and genomics.
This project is part of an ERC Synergy Grant. The candidate will collaborate closely with other teams in the consortium and actively participate in scientific exchanges, including monthly meetings and consortium retreats. The position also involves participation in seminars, workshops, and team discussions to foster scientific interaction, as well as collaboration with technological platforms and research teams at Institut Curie.

Your Profil

Skills

Expertise in imaging, image analysis, molecular and cellular biology, as well as genomics approaches, would be an asset.
Proven ability to conduct research projects independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Strong scientific presentation and communication skills.
Ability to work productively in an international research environment.

Your Work Environment

The “Molecular Mechanisms of Chromosome Dynamics” team, led by Daniele Fachinetti (https://institut-curie.org/team/fachinetti) is an international group specializing in genomic instability. The team is part of the CNRS UMR144 unit at Institut Curie (Paris center). Institut Curie is a leading player in cancer research and treatment, comprising both a hospital and a research center with more than 1,000 staff members and strong international representation.
The mission of Institut Curie's Research Center is to advance fundamental research and leverage the knowledge generated to improve cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy, within a continuum from fundamental research to innovation for patient benefit.
