Missions
Determine the conditions for wrinkle formation during the drying of polymer solutions and propose a mechanism for this formation, as well as participate in the writing of reports, articles and make oral presentations at conferences or symposia. For the duration of his/her contract, the recruited candidate will be part of the Glass Surface and Interfaces laboratory
Activités
The position will contribute in particular to various aspects:
• participation in the implementation of an experimental device to observe the formation of wrinkles
• conducting experiments
• analysing results
• developing a model to report on the results
• publishing one or more articles on the analysis of data collected during the project.
It is expected that the data obtained will enable us to understand the formation of wrinkles during drying at the end of the post-doc.
Compétences
Candidates must hold a PhD in experimental physics with experience in the field of soft matter and hydrodynamics and proven research skills, demonstrated by at least one publication as first/co-first or second author related to the project's theme and activities. Proven expertise in modelling is also required. Strong written and oral communication.
Contexte de travail
The project is part of the study of the drying of liquid films carried out at the SVI laboratory. The laboratory is a joint research unit between the CNRS and Saint-Gobain, and is housed in the Saint-Gobain Research Center Paris. The recruited person will be placed under the hierarchical authority of Laurence Talini.
