Missions
Research within the framework of the ANR SAHA "Health in Crisis? Interdisciplinary Analysis of Care Practices in Lebanon". SAHA is a project funded by the National Research Agency (France) and based at the French Institute of the Near East (Lebanon). SAHA aims to study the structuring of a public action sector in mental health in the context of war and multi-sectoral crises that Lebanon has been experiencing in recent years. The SAHA project has two main axes: 1. Mapping the mental health sector in crises. Particular attention is devoted to the analysis of transformations in the medical profession, training and the field of mental health professionals. 2. An analysis of mental health care pathways. The aim here is to think about mental health care in the long term, on the scale of contemporary lives; and to place the experience of internment in life paths informed by collective crises.
Activities
- Writing and publishing research related to the SAHA project. - Participation in the activities of the SAHA project and its organization. - Participation in the scientific life of the laboratory.
Skills
- Specialization in sociology/anthropology - Oral and written fluency in Arabic, English, and French. - Experience in writing and publishing scientific articles

- Investment in the project in the form of writing and publishing research work, active participation in the activities of the SAHA project and its organization. - Participation in the scientific life of the laboratory.

The position is located in Lebanon, Beirut, at the IFPO headquarters, with potential regional travel.
