Missions

This post-doctoral position is funded by the China CoREF project (knowledge - research, expertise, training), whose ambition is to combine the strengths of higher education and research in order to meet the challenge of knowledge on contemporary China on the three levels of research, expertise and training. With the aim of structuring research on contemporary China, the China CoREF project currently seeks to develop a digital interface that identifies, harvests, safeguards and analyses primary sources on contemporary China available on the Internet, which can then be used as a tool for analyzing current society and politics. This platform aims to enable the scientific community to enrich their data collection by developing an independent web archive structured for research purposes, with a technical team of experts providing personalized assistance.
In this context, the post-doctoral fellow will develop his/her research in the humanities and social sciences on the forms of political organization and social transformations in contemporary China. While developing his/her own research object and protocol, the post-doctoral project will be based in part on the use of the digital interface developed by the China CoREF project. In practice, the postdoc will benefit from the technical support of the team in charge of the interface. He/she will work in collaboration with them to collect and archive online data that will be used to carry out his/her research project. He/she will also participate, in parallel, in the activities of the research unit to which he/she will be affiliated.
