Missions

The person will lead software development projects related to scientific publishing. They will work to develop open science in the field of publishing in accordance with the policies of the supervisory bodies, as well as tools to provide information on the scientific publishing landscape and encourage virtuous publishing practices and the deployment of new initiatives from researchers and teacher-researchers (M/F) to extend the diamond model in scientific publishing.

Activités

• Develop digital and online information related to scientific publishing projects following the diamond model (including Peer Community In [PCI] and its journal https://peercommunityin.org/, as well as MorphoMuseuM), as well as the Journal of Statistical Ecology, which is currently being created, with a view to Open Science and taking into account the environmental footprint of the project; • Model, design, and/or configure new back-office features for the websites of these publishing initiatives: opening data to users, automating editing and publishing tasks, automatic text transformation, manuscript formatting, etc. • Develop interoperability with open data archives (HAL), codes, and articles. • Support the development of initiatives promoting ethical scientific publishing (including DAFNEE https://dafnee.isem-evolution.fr/): bibliometric analyses, databases, interoperability tools, etc. • Ensure ongoing maintenance and security for the developments made. • Provide advice and expertise to scientist users. • Design technical and functional training programs for researchers and students.

Contexte de travail

The successful candidate will be assigned to the MEEB UAR, which aims to develop a digital scientific publishing platform. This platform will be organized to interface seamlessly with the CEFE scientific information platform and the ISEM Open Science/Scientific Computing department, so that the activities carried out by the successful candidate will be open to these two units, and then to other units within the community. The successful candidate will interact closely with other computer scientists (M/F) from the site's UMRs and UARs (in particular the OSU-ORME). They will also be integrated into national and international networks in the relevant professional sector.
