Job Description
Missions
The postdoctoral researcher will focus on understanding and modeling the mechanisms and resources required to produce non-Gaussian quantum states, with a strong connection to various experimental platforms where a quantum emitter couples to a directional electromagnetic field (neutral and doped quantum dots in micropillars, NV centers in waveguides, optical nonlinearities, etc.). Approaches may be analytical, based on the collision model, or numerical. The postdoctoral researcher will be encouraged to develop thermodynamic interpretations of these mechanisms to optimize their efficiency.
Activity
Analytical computations, processing and fitting of experimental data, paper writing, attending conferences, supervising PhD and master students, reporting
Your Profil
Skills
- PhD in quantum physics, quantum optics, quantum measurement theory. 1 to 2 years of post-doctoral experience will be a strong plus.
- Capacity to interact with experimental groups, model and process data.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven track record of published research and presentations in relevant fields.
Your Work Environment
The researcher will join the group led by Alexia Auffèves, which has extensive experience in quantum energetics, thermodynamics, and optics, as well as in exploring fundamental and technological questions in close collaboration with high-level experimental and theoretical groups worldwide.
MajuLab is an international joint laboratory whose signatory institutions are the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Université Côte d'Azur (UCA), Sorbonne Université (SU), the National University of Singapore (NUS), and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Since its establishment in 2014, this Franco-Singaporean quantum center has fostered and supported long-term synergies between the French and Singaporean ecosystems.
The researcher will be physically based at the Centre for Quantum Technologies, a long-standing reference center in the field of quantum science. They will engage with Singapore's highly dynamic ecosystem, a multicultural hub and a leading Asian center for quantum technologies.
