Missions

Working closely with the scientific coordinator, the EPM assists in coordinating a European project funded under Horizon Europe, within the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Doctoral Networks call: UNVEIL (Unified Nondestructive Evaluation of Historical Artifacts). The PM's mission is to ensure smooth consortium operation and facilitate its overall functioning in compliance with the Grant Agreement and the Consortium Agreement. He/She will be integrated into the International Research Lab 2958 Georgia Tech-CNRS in Metz, more specifically within the Terahertz Imaging and Nonlinear Dynamics team. As a close collaborator of the coordinator, the EPM will also play a transversal support role, contributing to the preparation, monitoring, and valorization of the team's broader initiatives within the International Research Lab 2958 Georgia Tech-CNRS in Metz.

Activities

Main activities :
• Assist the scientific coordinator in supervising project implementation and monitoring the work plan
• Develop and implement management tools (procedures, guidelines, templates, collaborative platforms, website updates, etc.) designed to support the project and, more broadly, the organisation of the team
• Prepare consortium meetings and draft minutes, while also contributing to the coordinator's wider agenda
• Contribute to the preparation of certain deliverables (data management plan, communication plan, etc.) and provide methodological support to the coordinator in related activities
• Animate the consortium and facilitate exchanges among partners
• Carry out internal communication activities (information flow, collaborative platform) and external ones (press releases, website content, etc.), also contributing to the visibility of other initiatives led by the team
• Act as an intermediary between the European Commission and the consortium
• Promote awareness among partners regarding dissemination, gender equality, science-society links, and environmental aspects
• Coordinate the organisation of project-related events (training sessions, secondments, workshops, conferences, etc.), and support the organisation of other team activities where relevant
Administrative management
In close collaboration with the CNRS Centre-East Delegation's European Affairs Office (SPV):
• Support partners on administrative aspects of the project and ensure compliance with Horizon Europe rules and procedures
• Monitor the production of deliverables and contribute to the drafting of activity reports
• Help establish administrative practices and monitoring tools that benefit the project and, more broadly, the organisation of the team and the coordinator
Financial management
In close collaboration with the CNRS Centre-East Delegation's European Affairs Office (SPV):
• Monitor expenditures (budget updates, internal financial summaries, etc.)
• Prepare and disseminate monitoring tools useful for the financial management of the project and potentially applicable to the team's activities as well
Legal monitoring
In close collaboration with the CNRS Centre-East Delegation's European Affairs Office (SPV):
• Ensure compliance with the obligations set out in the Grant Agreement and the Consortium Agreement
• Monitor and update contractual documents (amendments, etc.)
• In support of the coordinator, contribute to fostering contractual practices useful for both the project and the wider team

Skills

Qualifications
• Master's degree or equivalent, ideally with training in European project management
• Good knowledge of European Commission management rules under Horizon Europe
• Solid background in administrative management
• Proficiency in English, written and spoken (minimum B2 level, working language of the consortium)
• Familiarity with project management tools (spreadsheets, collaborative platforms, etc.)
Required qualities
• Strong sense of rigour and organisational skills
• Dynamism, responsiveness, and autonomy
• Ability to work as part of a team and in an intercultural environment (diplomacy, adaptability)
• Excellent command of English, especially strong writing and synthesis skills
• Knowledge of communication and event organisation appreciated
• Experience in managing European and/or international projects, and scientific awareness in one of the relevant fields, would be an asset

Work Context

Work Context
The selected candidate will be administratively attached to the CNRS Centre-East Delegation and hosted at Georgia Tech Europe (Metz), the European campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, USA), within the International Research Lab 2958 Georgia Tech-CNRS.
This international, multicultural environment — bringing together researchers, doctoral candidates, and engineers from diverse backgrounds — will provide the candidate with a unique opportunity to integrate into a leading scientific network.
• Position start date: March 2, 2026
• Contract: 36-month full-time fixed-term contract (CDD)
• The role involves frequent travel across Europe
• Salary: according to CNRS pay scales, Ingénieur d'études level
• Accreditation for access to a Restricted Area (Zone à Régime Restrictif, ZRR) will be required prior to ap-pointment

The position is located in a sector under the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST), and therefore requires, in accordance with the regulations, that your arrival is authorized by the competent authority of the MESR.
