Job Description
Missions
The mission aims to; 1. Participate in the animation and reflective approach of the network of Workshop Zones (RZA), in its transition to IR TRESSE (SOERE financial support of the RZA). 2. Articulate the reflection resulting from transdisciplinary field research in the Hwange ZA with that of the IR TRESSE working groups, in particular GT Transformation.
Activity
• Participate in the IR TRESSE working groups (Transformation and Transdisciplinarity) • Participate in the implementation of the reflective framework of the IR TRESSE and PC1 of the PEPR TRANSFORM • Articulate the approaches developed in the ZA Hwange with local actors, with the reflections of the RZA, the IR TRESSE, on transdisciplinarity. Specific activity: Promote the use of anticipation tools to catalyze inclusion in the foresight approach and co-development, stimulate reflexivity and transformative science initiatives of the Zones Ateliers network.
Your Profil
Skills
• Doctorate or equivalent level in environmental sciences, socio-ecosystems and sustainability. • Good knowledge of transition issues and socio-ecological transformation. • Experience in coordinating interdisciplinary or multi-stakeholder projects. • Excellent writing, analysis and synthesis skills. • Relational ease, autonomy, ability to work in a network. • Sensitivity to institutional and political research issues. • Experience of the network of workshop areas • English spoken fluently
Your Work Environment
The candidate will be stationed within IRL REHABS (CNRS – Nelson Mandela University). This international laboratory supported by the CNRS, and Nelson Mandela University. Located in George in South Africa, IRL REHABS is dedicated to understanding and supporting the dynamics of joint adaptation of human societies and ecosystems in the face of global changes. It is part of an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach mobilizing ecology, sociology, geography and ecological economics, with a strong North-South comparative dimension.
