The mission includes : (I) Finalizing the specifications in collaboration with the participating teams from Roscoff, Brest, Nantes, Evry and Marseille. (II) Developing the analysis pipelines, the web application interface and the companion tool(s), (III) Contributing to the popularization of the application through participation in the organization of training sessions.

- A previous experience in the development of Web based data visualisation tools is required.
- A working experience in the field of bioinformatics (genomic data analysis) and / or ecology will be appreciated

Work Context

The goal of this project is to provide research teams involved in the processing and analysis of data from genomic observatories with the human-machine interfaces necessary to visualize, explore, analyze and interpret their data. This web platform will allow the visualization in time and space of species abundance data from genomic data associated with environmental parameters , notably those measured at several sites of the SOMLIT national service (Service d'Observation en Milieu LITtoral, a national network of 12 marine stations, labeled by INSU (CNRS) since 1996) and those measured in the PHYTOBS , MOOSE and ROME projects. In particular, dynamic and interactive graphical representations of biodiversity estimators will be implemented. These results will be integrated with associated contextual/environmental data through different visualizations, in order to facilitate the graphical interpretation of the data. Interoperability with existing international biodiversity and genomic databases will also be proposed. Attached to the ABiMS platform of the Roscoff Marine Station, the engineer will be supervised by the members of the ABIMS bioinformatics platform (Erwan Corre & Mark Hoebeke) in strong collaboration with local teams and teams from Sebimer_IFREMER and UBO (Brest), LS2N (Nantes), MIO (Marseille) and Genoscope (Evry).
