The job search engine can be reached from the right-hand column on the portal homepage.
It can be used to search for job offers, with optional filters including geographic zone, job type and certain keywords associated with the position
The “Keywords” filter applies to the “Title” part of job offers
The advanced search feature will also let you search for jobs based on your level of academic qualifications
To log in to the CNRS Careers Portal, you must go to Candidate Area via the banner on the right-hand side of the homepage.

You have no candidate account on the CNRS Careers Portal.
All links on the Candidate Area homepage redirect to the login form.
Since you do not have an account, you will need to create one using the "Register" banner (all fields are mandatory):

After submitting the form, you will receive an email containing a link in order to confirm your new account.

Once you have confirmed your account by clicking on the link in the email, the following message should be displayed
Login successful
You should see your name displayed at the top left of the Candidate Area homepage.

After confirming the creation of your candidate account, you are invited to complete your candidate profile (see section
"Apply online").
You already have a CNRS Careers Portal candidate account: login by username / password
All links on the Candidate Area homepage redirect to the login form. If you already have a candidate account, click on the "Login" banner.
Enter your email address and password.

Login successful
You have accessed your Candidate Area. Your name is displayed at the top left of the screen. This homepage comprises three sections:
- Your applications: allows you to view the applications you have already submitted and access the search engine from the options available,
- Your profile: allows you to update the information in your candidate profile,
- Other pages: allows you to manage your account.
These features can also be accessed via the banner on the left.

You have forgotten your password
On the login page, click "Forgotten password" and then on the link which appears.
To reset your password, enter the email associated with your account.
You will then be invited to answer the question you chose when you created your account.
Once you have answered the question correctly, the following message will be displayed, confirming that you have been sent an email.
The email will contain your new password, which you can then change by logging into your account and going to the “Account settings” section.
You may update your account details (email address, password or secret question) in the “Account settings" section
After using the search engine on the homepage and/or viewing a job offer that interests you, you may submit an application by clicking “Apply”.

If you do not yet have a Candidate account on the platform, refer to step
Login.
You will need to attach a covering letter in order for your application to be admitted.
However, you can choose to attach a different CV from the one registered by default in your candidate profile, or add a URL (to a personal web page, blog, video, website, etc.).
Once you have confirmed your application ("Submit" button) , an on-screen confirmation message will be displayed and you will also receive an email as shown below:

If you have not yet registered on the CNRS Careers Portal
If you do not yet have a Candidate account on the Careers Portal, you will be automatically redirected to the site homepage. You will then be able to create a Candidate account by clicking "Register" and completing your candidate profile as described in the section "
Login / You do not have an account on the CNRS Careers Portal".

This feature requires you to have an active candidate account on the Careers Portal.
You can track your application from the "Your applications" menu in your Candidate Area.

From this screen, you can also track the progress of your application(s):
- Once your application has been examined by the recruiter, its status will be updated to the “Application under consideration".
- Finally, once the recruiter has selected their preferred candidate, the status of your application will be updated to “Application rejected” or “Application successful”.
Whenever the status of your application changes, you will be alerted by email.
Withdraw an application
If you wish to withdraw a job application, you can do so by going to your Candidate Area, clicking the "Your Applications" menu, and selecting the job offer concerned.

The following screen shows the details of the application concerned. In the "Actions" section, you can withdraw your application.
The following step allows you to provide a reason for your decision to withdraw your application, by personalising the email sent to the employer (you will receive a copy of the message).
However, you can choose to withdraw your application without sending an email.
The next screen confirms that your application has been withdrawn.
In the "Your Applications" section of your Candidate Area, you can see that the status of your application has changed to "Candidate withdrawn". The full history of your applications is shown here.

In your "Candidate Area", you can manage the email alerts created to inform you of new job offers published on the portal, based on your chosen criteria.
This can be done in the "Your email alerts" section.

To create/add an alert, in the "Manage your alerts" section, click on "Add an alert" and fill in the required fields. The mandatory fields vary depending on your choices:
- Frequency
- Job type (Technical/Admin or Scientific FTC)
- Industry (for Technician/Admin FTCs only)
- Job
- Region
Save your selection by clicking the "Save" button.
A table will be displayed showing the alerts you have created and your chosen settings. You may create up to
10 alerts.
You can modify or delete alerts from the summary table at any time, as shown below:

Reminder:
From the "Your email alerts" section, you can also set the frequency at which you would like to receive alerts, either weekly or daily.
Remember to save your preferences before leaving this screen.
