Job Description
Thesis Subject
This PhD project investigates whether IgLON5 functions as a synaptic protein using super-resolution microscopy, binding assays, and single-particle tracking. The aim is to determine IgLON5's synaptic relevance, confirm interactions with identified binding
partners, and analyse its dynamics in neuronal cultures, including those with cytoskeletal disruptions induced by IgLON5 antibodies.
Your Work Environment
Established on 1 January 2011, the Interdisciplinary Institute of Neurosciences (IINS) is a joint research unit affiliated with the CNRS and the University of Bordeaux. With a staff of 170 people divided into 13 teams, IINS brings together multidisciplinary expertise to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in brain activity. The Institute develops innovative methods in imaging, chemistry, physiology and computing. As part of Bordeaux Neurocampus, IINS is one of the key players in the neuroscience community in Aquitaine.
