Missions

Missions

The research engineer will contribute to a project aimed at understanding how chromatin participates in DNA damage repair and in maintaining genome integrity.
He/she will perform cellular and molecular biology approaches to investigate the mechanisms by which chromatin-associated factors stabilize and repair damaged replication forks.

Activities

Main activities

Perform cellular and molecular biology experiments using human cell lines.

Implement assays to detect and analyze DNA damage and repair (functional assays, protein markers, imaging).

Contribute to proteomic analyses and related bioinformatic data processing.

Analyze and interpret experimental results.

Present results at team meetings and contribute to report and manuscript preparation.

Collaborate with team members and institutional technological platforms.

Required skills

Education: Bachelor +4/5 or Master's degree in cell or molecular biology, or a related field.

Experience in cancer biology and/or chromatin function is desirable.

Proficiency in the following techniques: cell culture, Western blot, immunoprecipitation, cellular imaging.

Understanding of DNA repair mechanisms.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of French is an asset.
Additional skills

Experience in proteomic or bioinformatic data analysis.

Scientific rigor, organizational skills, and initiative.

Ability to synthesize and present experimental data clearly.

The position is available in the laboratory of Dr Beatrice Rondinelli, within the research unit Genome Integrity and Cancers (UMR9019), hosted at the Gustave Roussy Institute (Villejuif, France).
The unit is affiliated with Université Paris-Saclay and the CNRS.
