Missions
The postdoctoral fellow will contribute to the research projects through various technical and administrative activities. The research project in which the candidate will be involved focuses on the short- and long-term effects of childhood maltreatment and on the neural circuits that protect individuals from developing psychiatric disorders. The fellow will carry out behavioral studies and calcium imaging in rodents.
Activities
The role of the research assistant will be to contribute to the smooth functioning of the laboratory and to research projects at the technical and experimental levels, using both in vitro approaches (immunohistochemistry, genotyping) and in vivo approaches (behavioral studies and calcium imaging).
Skills
Hold a PhD in Neuroscience or Biology
Possess training in animal experimentation and surgery
Knowledge in fundamental Neuroscience and the Neurobiology of psychiatric disorders
Skills in rodent behavior, stereotaxic surgery, and signal analysis
Motivated, organized, and independent
Work Context
The position will be based at the Saint Germain des Prés site (Université Paris Cité), within the facilities of the Pathophysiology of Psychiatric Disorders team at the INCC. The post is available to work under the supervision of Dr. Elsa Isingrini. The researcher will also have access to the EOPS animal facility, the UMR phenotyping unit, and the microscopy platform. The position requires a weekly presence of 35 hours at the host institution (Saint Germain des Prés site, Université Paris Cité). Presence on weekends and public holidays may also be required depending on experimental needs.
