Missions

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoc candidate to investigate the temporal dynamics of perceptual consciousness and metacognition. The position is part of Volta, an ERC-funded project lead by Nathan Faivre, which aims to explore the electrophysiological and electrochemical correlates of consciousness.

Activities

The selected candidate will collect, analyze and interpret behavioral and electrophysiological data, and draft manuscripts in close collaboration with Nathan Faivre. The research will involve healthy volunteers as well as patients with neurological and/or psychiatric disorders.

Skills

Applicants should have strong skills in computer programming in Matlab, human, and knowledge regarding metacognition and time perception. Applications with no expertise regarding the psychophysics of perception and metacognition will not be considered.

Work Context

The work will take place at the Laboratoire de Psychologie et Neurogognition in Grenoble. The laboratory is associated with the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). Part of the research will be performed in collaboration with hospitals in Grenoble and abroad. All expenses related to the project will be covered by the ERC grant.

Constraints and risks

Short travels in France and abroad should be expected for conferences and collaborations.
The contract is renewable once upon common agreement.
