Missions
The recruited agent's main mission will be to develop and implement liquid phase transmission electron microscopy to meet the needs of the materials research teams on the Bordeaux campus.
Activities
Develop the cell preparation protocol, whether in static or flow mode · Develop the cell leak-proofing verification protocol · Develop the observation protocol. The agent will focus in particular on determining the admissible electron doses depending on the media used, and developing the data recording chain. The recruited agent will have to carry out this mission in coordination with a team from the ICMCB, which will provide the support materials for these developments as part of a project on the biomineralization of metallic nanoparticles. The agent will also have to pass on his know-how to the PLACAMAT engineer so that the latter is able to carry out the observations following the recruited agent.
Skills
Proficiency in transmission electron microscopy
Proficiency in liquid-cell sample holders
Knowledge of nanoparticle biosynthesis mechanisms
Ability to communicate and work in a team
Work Context
The PLACAMAT support and research unit is structured into four centers of expertise, including one in electron microscopy. It is composed of three transmission electron microscopes (TEM) and three scanning electron microscopes (SEM).
The position is located in a sector under the protection of scientific and technical potential (PPST), and therefore requires, in accordance with the regulations, that your arrival is authorized by the competent authority of the MESR.
Constraints and risks
PLACAMAT operating in a Restricted Regime Zone, taking up the post will be subject to prior agreement from the CNRS defense security officer.
