Work Context

Université Côte d'Azur is a public university located in the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, in southeastern France. It is one of the major higher education institutions in the region, established as part of an academic initiative to bring together various institutions and organizations in the area. The university offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across multiple disciplines, including sciences, engineering, health, humanities, social sciences, law, and economics. It emphasizes interdisciplinary research and collaboration with various research institutes and industry partners. Université Côte d'Azur is also known for its strong focus on innovation and technology.

The Laboratoire J.A. Dieudonné, often referred to simply as the Laboratoire Dieudonné, is a research laboratory in the field of mathematics. It is affiliated with Université Côte d'Azur in southeastern France. Named after Jean Alexandre Dieudonné, a prominent French mathematician, the laboratory is dedicated to research in various areas of mathematics, including algebra, analysis, geometry, number theory, and applied mathematics.

The laboratory's researchers work on both theoretical and applied mathematical projects and are involved in collaborations with other research institutions and industries. They also contribute to the education and training of students in mathematics at the university, offering seminars, lectures, and mentorship. Overall, the Laboratoire Dieudonné plays a key role in advancing mathematical research and education at Université Côte d'Azur.

This PhD work will take place as part of the CNRS-AIMS Africa Chair (CNRS Joint Research Programme) led by Ludovic Rifford, with one of its goals being to create a visible and competitive CNRS-AIMS research community.
