Missions

Contribute to the activities "Study of semitauonic decays of beauty hadrons" within LAL LHCb group. More particularly, study the internal characteristics of selected events and extract from these, information on potential Beyond Standard Model contributions.

Activities

Integrate programs describing new physics influence in the workflow used in semitauonic physics analysis. Extract limits on new physics contents. Study in particular tau polarization. The candidate will have full responsability for this task he/she will have to perform in close collaboration with the LPT theory laboratory.

Skills

Very good knowledge of software tools used in LHCb experiment (C++, python, ROOT..)
Good knowledge of B physics phenomelogy
Good autonomy and experience of collaborative work
Completion of a successful analysis within a HEP experiment

Work Context

Laboratoire de l'accélérateur Lineaire in a 300-people HEP research laboratory with main activities in particle physics, astroparticle physics, detector and accelerator construction.
The post-doc will be affected to the LHCb group and will work within the "Semitauonic" subgroup in close collaboration with LPT laboratory.
