The postdoctoral researcher will be part of the high-energy physics group of the Laboratoire de Physique Théorique de l'École Normale Supérieure (LPTENS) in Paris. The postdoctoral fellow will work under the supervision of Benjamin Basso within the framework of a project funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) in collaboration with Gregory Korchemsky, David A. Kosower and Pierre Vanhove from the Institut de Physique Théorique (IPhT) at Saclay in the Paris suburbs. It will be expected that the postdoctoral fellow will collaborate with members from both institutions on the ANR project aiming at studying scattering amplitudes and correlation functions in quantum field theory and string theory.
Study of physical and mathematical structures in scattering amplitudes and correlation functions in quantum field theory and string theory.
recent thesis in theoretical physics; sound knowledge in quantum field theory and string theory, ideally with experience in one or more of the following domains: scattering amplitudes, AdS-CFT correspondence, integrable systems; ability to work in a team on multi-disciplinary projects.
Both the LPTENS-Paris and the IPhT-Saclay are broad based departments comprising theoretical physicists in a broad range of domains including particle physics, statistical physics, mathematical physics, string theory, QCD, conformal field theory, integrable models and condensed matter physics.
